Enough of these recession blues! New York Magazine this week takes a look at eight renters who were able to buy with a little help from the economic downturn. They purchased a pretty wide range of places, from a just-under-$2 million Flatiron loft to a one-bedroom co-op in Little Neck for $169,000.
