A new-to-New York hotel architect is suing her real estate brokers, alleging that they got her fired, broke into her apartment, and stole her furniture and dog . The architect says she was a victim of identity theft and her bank account was frozen, which is why her first rent check bounced. But one of the brokers “grew incensed” at the lack of payment, perhaps because her father owned the apartment the architect was subletting—a twist that is only the tip of the crazy iceberg in this lawsuit.
