But for 16 lucky fans, all that doesn’t matter, since they’ll get to hang out with Mr. Met! The Mets are currently hiring for spots in their Pepsi Party Patrol, who serve as Mr. Met’s entourage, both on the field (throwing t-shirts into the crowd) and off (going to publicity events). More than 700 people have applied for one of the 16 positions, reports the Post . And they’ll not only be accompanying Mr Met; they’ll be serving as his spokesman, “since Mr Met is not allowed to speak” …lest he starts lecturing everyone on the perils of sex addiction .
