Last Night’s Action: A Judgement Call

It seems like the Devils and Rangers engaged in a great hockey game tonight. Unfortunately, those of us in New York City with Time Warner Cable couldn’t see it because TWC and MSG seem determined to ruin the lives of sports fans in the region with their dispute. But, there are some highlights you can see online and the game came down to an interference call that caused the Rangers’ game-tying goal to be waived off. Does Marian Gaborik make contact with Martin Brodeur? Absolutely, but was he forced into the contact by Anton Volchenkov? According to the refs, he wasn’t and that’s all that matters. The non goal made a 1-0 winner of Brodeur and gave the surging Devils two points. David Clarkson had the only goal of the game, his 21st of the season. [ more › ]
