Thrashers 6, Islanders 3: The Islanders still haven’t won a road game since the 12th day of Christmas, and they didn’t waste too much time pretending they were interested in winning this one. Atlanta scored four goals in the first period — three of them before the halfway mark — and never looked back. Mark Streit, Rob Schremp and Tim Jackman had the goals for the Islanders. Dwayne Roloson didn’t fare too well, allowing four goals in the first seven Atlanta shots before being replaced by Martin Biron.
