Man Dead, 10-Year-Old Wounded In Bed-Stuy Shooting

Last night before 8 p.m., a man was shot dead and a 10-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting on Stuyvesant Avenue in Brooklyn last night. It’s believed the girl, who had been playing outside her building, was hit by a stray bullet while the man, 24, was the intended target. Jose Ramirez tells the Daily News he was watching granddaughter Dalilah Gray and two other grandchildren play when the shots rang out: “It was not until after Ramirez hustled the children inside that anyone realized that his granddaughter Dalilah Gray had been struck in the left hand.” He said, “I’m grateful that bullet didn’t go through her wrist and into her.” Dalilah was treated at Kings County Hospital, where she is in stable condition. The male victim was reportedly struck numerous times in the chest and walked to Woodhull Hospital , where he later died. The cause of the shooting is not known, but, according to a neighbor who spoke to the News, a lot of drug dealing takes place on nearby Pulaski Street.
