Protesters, Toronto Police Clash Outside G20 Summit

                            This weekend, Toronto is hosting the G20 Summit, where world leaders are discussing stabilizing the global economy , and, so far, over 480 people have been arrested in intense protests outside the conference. Toronto police chief Bill Blair said , “We have never seen that level of wanton criminality and vandalism and destruction on our streets.” Torontoist has extensive coverage, including photographs and videos — see more here . According to CNN , “Four people were arrested leaving underground infrastructure tunnels outside the controlled access zone at 2:25 a.m… Workers are now welding shut some of the entrances to the underground infrastructure.” A security spokesperson said, “At no time was there risk to the safety of summit participants.”
